Oh, The Merry Hypocrisy….

By: J Robert Giles

“I find capitalism repugnant. It is filthy, it is gross, it is alienating... because it causes war, hypocrisy and competition.”  Fidel Castro

Leave it to good ol’ Fidel to put that warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart. His chiseled appearance, worldly charm, and global influence obviously prove his credibility. His success and complete lack of civil unrest or poverty within the borders of his homeland most assuredly permit  him the right to talk down to us and our beliefs, right? I know, i castro-obama-e1313674328712 know…..it’s Christmas and I shouldn’t let the maniacal ravings of a guy who’s only alive because he has learned to use hatred as sustenance get to me. But, since we’re here…..it’s funny Fidel should mention ‘hypocrisy’ isn’t it? The fact that he would dare to use such a word to describe a way of life that has rendered his own belief system pretty much useless is hilarious. Such overt disdain for an economic system that has all but destroyed socialism. Castro has never made an attempt to hide his opposition to capitalism and often pointed to skewed figures to show failure where no one truly believes any exists. He would point to Africa and Latin America as capitalism failing but the part he never seemed to recognize is that capitalism cannot exist in a dictatorship. Success of capitalism requires democracy and it’s beautiful, inherent freedom. When one man or family has as much control over a country as Castro did, freedom and capitalism are only pretended among the masses. (Would someone please explain to Barack HUSSEIN Obama that socialism is bad and except for a few tent-living fools, the American people he so often refers to in his condescending speeches are happy with the benefits of capitalism?)

Hypocrisy doesn’t end with the grossly misinformed Cuban. Recently, in one of the most arrogant displays of hypocrisy I Sheenscan imagine, Martin Sheen held a press conference on the steps of a New York City courthouse to announce the innocence of a convicted cop killer. Apparently, Mr. Sheen believes the power granted his presidential character on The West Wing somehow translates to the real world. Martin, a longtime refugee from morality and conservative thought, believes he is a judge, jury, attorney, and warden. He is demanding the release of a man who attempted to rob the illegal casino run by a NYC cop over thirteen years ago. A scuffle ensued, and the officer was shot in the face. Does Martin Sheen have access to information or evidence not provided to the jury? Besides, is Martin Sheen really the man you want to  represent you? Look at his track record when it comes to character. Hypocrisy is apparently a gift a father can bestow upon his son as is evidenced by the very existence of Charlie Sheen’s fading career.

Charlie Sheen’s opinion is somehow still worthy of attention in the media. The crack addled, booze sponge exposes his children to his pornstar roommates, and is somehow heralded as ‘courageous’ for standing by his beliefs. He is supported and coddled by the media as if he is a child and publicity is the blankie so willingly given to him while discipline and accountability go unmentioned. Then, all of a sudden and with alarming predictability, the media gains a moral compass just in time to vilify Herman Cain. While I don’t necessarily believe Cain would have survived as a candidate, I find it hilarious that a media who praises the Sheen family and their ridiculous lifestyles and opinions could question the morals of anyone! A group of people willing to look past Slick Willy’s Oval Office Swine Fests as events that had nothing to do with the effective leadership of our country can’t fathom the thought of Herman Cain’s unscrupulous mind in that same office. Hypocrisy.

images (1) Then there’s that rare kind of hypocrisy that we all love to see. That kind of hypocrisy that exposes long opposed thought, opinion, or policy. Take, for example, the lawsuit that was recently brought forth against the bastion of liberal nonsense…..New York University or “N.Y.U.” as it is called in those circles more progressive than your own. It seems that a professor in the Fine Arts department had the nerve to give a poor grade to one of his students who missed 12 of 14 classes. The professor was publicly harassed and ridiculed by the student who happened to be overhyped actor, James Franco. Franco, star of such cinematic classics as Your Highness and Pineapple Express apparently believes that loaning his presence to any organization or institution warrants unyielding support. Attendance and participation in class are only requirements of those students who don’t already pretend for a living. The professor was fired and is now suing the school, but this lawsuit just reeks of hypocrisy, does it not? The very school that has, for decades, pumped out entitled snot actor after entitled snot actor is now being sued for treating an actor like a common student. The professor himself admits that he went out of his way to create a “Franco-friendly” environment. I would be very interested to see just how much of Mr. Franco’s absurdly unjustified net-worth was sacrificed for those classes. I’m willing to bet that there is at least one single mother putting herself through night classes at NYU who paid more than James Franco; the multi-millionaire, James Dean wannabe who managed to over-act the role of Spider-Man’s enemy. In a cinematic franchise known for horrible dialogue, and dazzling special effects with a cartoonish feel to them, Mr. Franco managed to leave audiences annoyed and wishing he had graced another film with his presence. Ahh, the sweet taste of misguided notions being exposed.

The world we have allowed to be created around us is one where hypocrisy is encouraged. We crave it because we have been programmed to do so. We ignore morality in one instance and demand it in another because we have become incapable of defending an unpopular opinion. James Franco has no power over me whatsoever. He shouldn’t have had any power over the admissions processes at NYU, but his celebrity dictated that such concessions be given. I wouldn’t give Charlie Sheen a glass of water if I found him wandering the desert for fear that his body would reject the unfamiliar substance, yet his horrendous morals are followed and chronicled as if they are something to which our kids should aspire. Fidel Castro is about as ridiculous a human being as there will ever be, yet whenever his opinion or stance will aid the left he’s regarded as a great leader. Castro spoke of the evils of capitalism. That’s like Steven Hawking criticizing a marathon runner’s poor technique. That’s like Jon Corzine being asked to give economic advice to the president…….wait……seriously? He did not really do that, did he?

Sift through the incessant crap that the media hurls at us and form your own thoughts. We are being manipulated and more and more evidence of that fact is rising to theHypocrisy surface. Stop being told that you have to change your ways when those telling you to do so are completely unwilling to change their own. Hypocrisy is all around you but it’s power is limited to your invitation. We’ve allowed ourselves to become a nation full of the very kind of people necessary to get Barack HUSSEIN Obama elected in the first place. Now, as those terrifying “Obama 2012” stickers begin appearing on more and more Prius’s and other SRV’s (Sex Repelling Vehicles) we cannot allow those who are vehemently defending his failed policies, laws, and actions to vote him back into office. They elected a man who took more from Wall Street than any other President in history and then have the nerve to blame Bush for Wall Street’s influence in politics. They elected a man who swore he would end the war in Iraq, and then demand that I believe his decision to do so after three years had nothing to do with the fact that his reelection now looks uncertain at best. They support a man who has literally lost BILLIONS of our dollars yet they blame others for the dire economic status of our country. Sure there is occasionally a crushing bit of hypocrisy on our side of the aisle as well, but Herman Cain allegedly sleeping with a co-worker 20 years ago did not put my job, my family, or my country in direct danger. They speak to us about morals and decency yet support the ACLU and NAMBLA. Hypocrisy surrounds you but you are NOT powerless unless you choose to be.

As always, thanks for playing.

Habit of Working…..

BY: J Robert Giles

I am a great believer in luck. I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”   - Thomas Jefferson

Recently, Newt Gingrich made a few comments about the poor that have been so predictably misconstrued and smeared across the media that researching the topic has made Hardwork21 for a very entertaining morning. I can certainly understand why Newt would not be appealing to those on the left, and more specifically those on the left who thrive in the State of Entitlement. I can certainly see why a successful, opinionated, Southern, white man who would dare to speak of laziness among the poor would be the subject of such criticism in liberal circles.

For those of you who have somehow escaped this story, Mr. Gingrich was speaking in Iowa recently when he said “Really poor children in really poor neighborhoods have no habits for working and have nobody around them who works. So they literally have no habit of showing up on Monday. They have no habit of ‘I do this and you give me cash’… unless it’s illegal,” he said.

While there may have been a slightly more sensitive way to phrase his point, I see nothing wrong with the sentiment expressed. All day long today, I’ve seen phrases like “working poor” and “disparity”. Newt Gingrich didn’t say that all poor people are criminals. He didn’t say that anyone without a job is a burden, but in an overwhelming number of the cases out there, he would have been well within his right to do so. Not everyone without a job is a criminal and not every unemployed person out there is milking the system but we cannot ignore the statistical FACT that there are now officially more people taking from the system than there are people contributing. That math simply won’t sustain our nation very long. If you’re having one of those slow, Monday kind of days, I’ll explain it for you…..imagine our economy is a big pie. You can’t keep eating the pie, and sharing the pie with your neighbors and even your enemies while telling the bakery owner that you hate him and you think he should give you more of his pie for free. Eventually, you are going to run out of pie. You will then go hungry, and you will starve. Most people have discovered that working pays the bills, but no one can argue the fact that there are an absurd amount of people in our country who simply milk the system and live off the government with no ambition, no motivation, and no remorse. Our money is simply “there for them” to use. If Newt Gingrich ends up being the Candidate to earn a duel with Barack Obama in the 2012 Election, then we must prepare for an all out assault. Drama-mama-Obama-Llama (TM) will use every media source at his far-reaching disposal to tell and re-tell the atrocious beliefs of the rich and white Newt Gingrich.

I don’t necessarily know that I agree with all of Mr. Gingrich’s views, but I do know that he does not hate poor people. People like Steve Benen have gone so far as to insinuate that Mr. Gingrich believes children should start working at age 9. I love absurdly sensationalized writing like that of Mr. Benen. It’s that kind of hogwash that gets those “I’m liberal because my parents said so” types off the fence and into the conservative movement. This comment will not go away soon. They will make sure of it. Before we go to the polls next November, many of those “on the fencers” will be blasted back into the liberal lunacy because they read and believe stories like the one this buffoon has spun.

Do not let yourselves, or your neighbors or friends believe that Newt Gingrich is against the poor. Look at the stories logically and ask yourself if a man who believes childrenPoor should be slaving away and providing income to their families at the age of nine could have ever survived a political life as long as the one Newt has enjoyed. The sentiment expressed in his comments is absolutely, 100% accurate. There is a sense of entitlement in this country that no one can legitimately deny. You can dress it up anyway you want to; you can call it welfare, assistance, bail-outs, or the esteemed “Occupy” movement, but it’s laziness wherever it is applied as anything but a temporary fix. There are plenty of people who use the assistance provided by many entitlement programs for the reasons and duration intended. Those people work hard, educate themselves, and scrape together everything they can until they can improve their situation. Those people view welfare as a shameful request. Those people believe that taking money they did nothing to earn is disgraceful and they work as quickly as possible to remove the big government nipple from their ambitious lips. Those are not the people Mr. Gingrich was talking about.  Obama and his Solyndra-loving, Smallpox researching, government dependency peddling cronies will try to convince you that all poor people are just down on their luck and need more of our love and compassion. There will be dirty faced, ribcage exposed children peering sadly out of the dirty windows of a dilapidated home to pull at your heartstrings. Those are not the people or the mentality that Newt Gingrich despises. Those are not the people I despise. The ones that make my blood boil are the ones that I encounter on the streets of downtown Saint Louis fairly regularly. For example, a few weeks ago, as I walked down Washington Avenue, I was approached by a clean, well dressed man on a Smartphone who put his conversation on hold long enough to look me in the eye and say “let me get some change up outcha, white-boy.” Most of the responses that came to my mind would have most likely landed me on the news for a few days so I just laughed and kept walking. My money is not yours just because you talk loudly, moron!

POTUS-Diddle There is a real problem with entitlement in our country. We can keep shoveling the issues under the rug. We can keep allowing the media to convince us that evil exists in logic. We can keep allowing good men to be run out of candidacy because of hypocritical belief systems that seem to materialize in the left whenever the right does something they condone and encourage among their own leaders. Bill Clinton diddled an alarming number of fugly women yet he’s heralded as a hero. Herman Cain ‘allegedly’ had an affair while he was working in the food-service-industry and the left simply can’t handle such indiscretion. Call them out on the double standard and you’ll be labeled a racist despite the fact that they are attacking a minority. Such logic has no place in the mind of a liberal. Dare to express favor for a candidate the left does not approve of and you will be deemed non-progressive. People cheat. Republicans cheat, democrats cheat. Liberals cheat, conservatives cheat. It happens. It’s an ugly part of life on planet earth. Good men cheat. Good women cheat. It doesn’t mean their judgment is permanently flawed. Stupid decisions make judgment permanently flawed. My disgust with our current president has nothing to do with his sexual history. The thought of old scrawny McBig-Ears getting tossed around the Lincoln Bedroom by his predator looking lover just disgusts me, but it is not the reason I despise him. I despise him because of his habitual stupidity. Period. I have not led a pure life by any means. There are people in several states with stories about me that will never permit a run for public office, but I do not pretend that I am above them when they succumb to human nature. When they act as though they are better than me because of their illogical reasoning and their condescending tones, then they earn my disapproval…..no matter what letter they put before their state. (R-MO) or (D-MO); it simply doesn’t matter if they had no business being elected in the first place!

Keep eating the pie. Keep giving away the pie. Just don’t expect more pie when you run out and all the pie-makers have moved to more friendly countries where their efforts are encouraged, supported, and applauded. Disparity is directly related to effort. The Wall Street Movement can throw all of the silly catch-phrases they want to but it does not change the fact that disparity is just a clever-sounding way of saying “let me get some change up outcha.”

As always, thanks for playing!

(R) vs. (D)…..You Won’t Be Surprised

He who lies for you will also lie against you” – Bosnian Proverb

First off, I hope everyone’s weekend was as enjoyable as mine. I seem to be experiencing more enjoyable weekends lately than any man has a right to experience. Those people responsible for this welcomed change know who they are. Thank you.

Sunset

Now that the niceties are out of the way, there were a few things that just made my jaw drop over the weekend. No, it wasn’t the combined scores of my two favorite football teams. (89-14; if you’re wondering.) It wasn’t the fact that my least favorite teams ALL lost, although that was pretty nice. Sadly, those are happy thoughts. The thoughts that inspired this article were more flummoxing than happily enjoyed.

I know I spew a lot of anti-liberal rhetoric. The fact that I recently received my first piece of poorly written, vaguely vulgar, hate mail tells me the efforts are paying off. There are very few things in this world that bring me more joy than infuriating a liberal. (Keep ‘em coming, Hippies! Your hatred fuels me!) That being said, I’m starting to get overwhelmed with the frequency of the lunacy coming from the left side of our planet. I can’t keep up. I am literally going to have to get one of those recorders that journalists and Rain Man carry to help them remember stories and ideas. Today, I think I can combine two or three stories into one. Perhaps it’s a cheap trick to get a bunch of ideas stuffed into one article, but there are others that need to be written and researched so I’ll take the risk, Forgive me.

There are two pieces of news that broke this weekend. I want to take a look at the way the two stories are being reported and followed by the media. In fact, I’ll go ahead and throw the Herman Cain scandal  and the Solyndra scandal in there for good measure. Four stories……how are they followed"? Which ones will you hear more about? Who do you think benefits from the “appropriate” levels of coverage and interest?

US President Barack Obama gestures for the crowd to keep quiet about his visit to the O&H Danish Bakery to buy kringle pastries so that First Lady Michelle Obama wouldn't find out about the visit, during a town hall event on the economy at Racine Memorial Hall in Racine, Wisconsin, June 30, 2010. AFP PHOTO / Saul LOEB (Photo credit should read SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty Images) STORY ONE - “Obama Smallpox Debacle” It was revealed over the weekend that our brilliant and honorable President Barack HUSSEIN Obama, spent $443 million to research a disease that was officially deemed “eradicated” in 1978. What? Surely you would have heard about this, right? Oh, it’s absolutely true. $443 million in taxpayer money to research an irrelevant disease. Riots in the streets of almost every city in the country as tattooed and pierced morons demand an end to greed, yet the man who claims to be their political voice is giving 443-million of our dollars to a bunch of his democrat-funding cronies. A no-bid contract to well known democratic-donation-machine Ron Perelman and Andy Stern whose character is questionable at best. Hear anything about it? No? Interesting.

STORY TWO - “Solyndra Mishandling” You’ve heard about this one, right? President Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his little lap-lander, Biden travelled to the headquarters of the solar energy company and posed for lots of photos. There’s the famous video of Obama lifting the solar panel and flexing his massive pythons as he does. If he had only been wearing a pear of pink leggings and a red leotard, the image would have been complete! Anyway, it’s far from a laughing matter that soon after the photographers left, a taxpayer backed check was made out to Solyndra in the amount of $500 million. The company went bankrupt, and we’re left paying the tab. Oh, and to put the feces flavored icing on the turd-cake we’ve been eating for the last 3.5 years, the Senior Energy Department Official who authorized and monitored the loan was none other than Obama’s top fundraiser. You heard all of these details over and over again, right? Every lead is being thoroughly investigated, right? The level of media coverage surely has left no stone unturned. If you believe that, you’re insane. Get out of my way.

Okay, for those of you keeping score at home, that’s $943 million of taxpayer money; GONE! We’re never getting that money back and very little has been done to stop it from happening again. In fact, we are being asked to believe that the best way to prevent further outbreaks of random shenanigans is to re-elect this babbling idiot and all of his little cronies.

$943 million LOST in just TWO STORIES!!!!

images

Now let’s take a look at two more stories that you may have heard a little bit more about, shall we?

STORY THREE – “Spencer Bachus” Spencer, a Representative from the great state of Alabama with one of those ‘dirty little “R’s” next to his name, moved some of his personal money around so that it wouldn’t be exposed to the volatility sure to follow the upcoming bailouts Obama was tossing to all who demanded them. It didn’t take a financial genius to figure out that there would be some stock market reaction to the bailout solution Obama seems to believe is the Band-Aid we’ve been missing. It certainly didn’t require insider information to predict such reactions, yet the media would have you believe Mr Bachus withheld information from the public while he positioned himself for an exclusive gain. It’s simply not true. He moved his personal assets from one area exposed to the effects of Obama’s lunacy to another that would be spared temporarily. There is nothing illegal about what he did, but I’m willing to bet you will know every detail of Spencer Bachus’s dirty-republican life before the Holiday Season comes to an end. Cost to taxpayers - $0

STORY FOUR - “Herman Cain” Who hasn’t heard the tawdry details of Herman Cain and his perverted, deviant lifestyle. The man is apparently insatiable, and as we all know, anything sexual is simply offensive to the left. (See: Lewinsky, NAMBLA, ACLU, Jersey Shore, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Nancy Pelosi’s Girls Gone Wild appearance (Okay, I just vomited a little as I wrote that. I made it up, folks! Lighten up!)) My point is that the evidence against Mr Cain is miniscule to say the least yet there she is. Ms Gloria Allred, the original Femi-Nazi, hugging Mr Cain’s victim who has surprisingly forgotten all about the crippling pain he delivered to her life until such time as money could be made from un-repressing her 20+ year old memories. I say bovine-excrement, madam! You’ve heard this story a few times, I imagine. Cost to taxpayers: $0

Are you starting to see the trend here? Do you find it as ridiculous as I do? It’s not just the government. Our ire should be equally cast at the media who supports such nonsense and in return believes us to be too stupid to catch it. STAND UP AND CATCH IT, AMERICA!! If we allow this lunacy to continue, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Again, $943 million to $0, yet first page search results for the two topics featuring those little “(R)’s” next to the names of the subjects receive over three to one coverage. We have to stand up and stop this. We’re allowing ourselves to be led to destruction.

As always, thanks for playing!

All great change in America begins at the dinner table.”

-Ronald Reagan

I’ll be the first to admit that I simply haven’t been all that captivated by the so-called Herman Cain controversy. I’ll also admit, albeit with a bit more KKardashian shame, that I have paid more attention to the Kardashian publicity/wedding event than I have paid to the Herman Cain sexualHermanCainProfilePic scandal. Yes, although Kim Kardashian is a disgusting example of pretty much everything that’s wrong with America, she does have Mr Cain beat in the looks department. That’s about it.

I sincerely hope that anyone reading this rant knows me well enough to know that I couldn’t possibly care less about anything Kardashian. (Except Bruce Jenner’s hair. It’s mesmerizing.) I care even less about the vague, baseless and transparently misleading accusations against Herman Cain. I have yet to hear a woman’s name mentioned in association with this so called scandal, but I cannot emphasize enough how little attention I have given to this story. If one has identified herself, then I sincerely apologize for not calling her a liar by name. Personally, I don’t care if Herman Cain wears a diaper and sucks on a pacifier when he’s in the privacy of his own home. I don’t care how he dresses or who he slept with twenty years ago. That’s for him to reconcile. As far as I’m concerned, he’s being attacked by the very people I consider to be my enemies.

No one at the schools Obama claims to have attended can remember him. There has never been a woman claiming to have been Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s girlfriend in college, high-school, or any other period in his life. I find the absence of past more alarming than a questionable one. A questionable past means Mr Cain fought through some demons. A questionable past means he has made mistakes similar to the ones we have all made in our lives and he has learned the lessons inherent in the pain. NO past means someone is going to great and expensive lengths to cover up a personal history that for some reason or another cannot be revealed. Why? Where are the people from OUR PRESIDENT’S past? No one makes it through the American political system without making enemies willing to expose, twist, and inflate even the most miniscule of indiscretions, so how is it that Obama seems to have no past? My theory that Obama was actually invented in George Soros's basement is starting to seem plausible, isn’t it? (No, I do not really believe he’s a robot. A demon? Yes. Robot? No.)

Sadly, this questionable coverage of Mr Cain’s questionable past is just another shining example of the infuriating control media continues to exert over the easily fooled. (Otherwise known as Obamanites, Barackians, Idiots, or Disciples of Obamunism)

Scott Whitlock, Senior News Analyst atCainClinton Media Research Center, points out that “NBC, CBS, and ABC have developed an insatiable hunger for the Herman Cain story”. The “story” has been told over fifty times in just three days on the three major networks, insuring that the spark becomes a flame in the kindling of public opinion. In contrast, the far more serious allegations of sexual misconduct by Bill Clinton were largely ignored. We had named women, with graphic descriptions of specific acts and they were Pelosi given far less airtime than this story with no named sources. The media is insuring our minds are consistently focused on something irrelevant while debacles like Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Nancy Pelosi’s facial tremors, and Eric Holder are being shuttled to safety behind our complacent backs. Shame on us!

So? What can we do? There’s an old saying in business: Never wage war with someone who buys their ink by the barrel. That saying is now antiquated like so many of our routines and beliefs. Media is no longer the “Great Oz” that it used to be. With all of the advancements in technology, we truly have the ability to insulate ourselves from the blistering onslaught of liberal lunacy if we so choose. As individuals, we lack the power to defeat the media. It’s sad but true. No, you can’t defeat the media, but you CAN and SHOULD do everything in your power to insure that the influence of the media is kept to a dull hum within the walls of your home and more importantly within the minds of your family. Media is not limited to TV and Internet either. Don’t be fooled. Your kids are being influenced at school, in advertising, with music, and even in the seemingly innocuous activities in which they participate.

Change starts at the dinner table. Such a simple statement from a man known for such things. It’s true, when you think about it. If we take the time to educate our children, media will eventually bow to their demands like the ratings driven, approval seeking, money dependent addicts they are. If we train our children to think for themselves; to seek the company of like minded, challenging people; to be unafraid to lead in an unpopular direction if it’s the right thing to do; to question hype; to study the facts and not memorize sound-bytes, we will eventually be okay. Teach your kids the difference between conservative and liberal and why the choice is so critical. Explain, in terms they can understand, comprehend, and repeat; the belief that small government and minimum taxation breeds success whereas big government and absurd taxation breeds dependence. Liberals are weak. Period. Anyone who believes someone else is better suited to make their own decisions for them is weak. Plain and simple. Put enough arrows in the quiver of a first time archer and they will eventually hit the bulls-eye. Your kids are going to face unimaginable influence from the very people, thoughts, and beliefs you fear. Are you giving them enough arrows? Could your teenage daughter defend her conservative opinions to an aggressive teacher with liberal views? Is your son strong enough to lead his friends in the direction he believes or will he follow in the direction of the pack? We can’t afford to just assume our kids will make the right choice when faced with such decisions. You have to get in there, get your hands dirty, and put in the work to guarantee they are.

Don’t let the world outside your home raise your children and then complain when your children behave exactly like the world outside your home.

As always, thanks for playing!
